A gem almost untouched by time

In a preserved Val d’Arly valley, the village and ski resort of Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe quietly unfold its natural beauty and its typically alpine charm, with its small chapel and its XIe century bell tower, its alpine pastoral chalets, its traditional farms and its wood buildings.

Nested at 1.150 m high up to 2.069 m at its highest altitude, the ski resort lies conveniently in the heart of the Espace Diamant ski domain, with its 81 ski lifts and 192 km of slopes, offering an ideal setting for families, ski enthusiasts and hiking and nature lovers.

Little by little, with the boom of winter sports and the arrival of the first ski lift in 1937, the village economy, with its many hamlets which were essentially based on agriculture, mutated into a touristic economy.

If the village has successfully been able to attract tourists from all over the world, it managed at the same time to retain its authenticity, its friendliness and the well-being of the place, in the midst of breathtaking sceneries, between the mountain ranges of the Mont Blanc, the Beaufortain and the Aravis.

This successful alliance between modernity and authenticity makes Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe one of the most desired places of the French Alps. No wonder that Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe has been voted in 2022 the second most beautiful village of the Alps region !
